We refuse to relocate to cheap labor markets or downgrade our materials for the sake of cutting costs. Our heritage is rooted in producing small, handcrafted batches of sunglasses made with meticulous care by Italian artisans, using only the finest materials.

ENIGMA sunglasses are crafted using the finest materials in the world. We partner with Mazzucchelli1849, a historic and vaunted Italian manufacturer of the highest quality cellulose acetate. This material, hand-polished by Italian artisans, forms the backbone of our frames, giving them both durability and a luxurious finish.

But a great frame deserves the best lenses, and for that, we turned to Carl Zeiss—Germany’s premier manufacturer of optical lenses. Trusted by NASA and multimillion-dollar film productions, Carl Zeiss provides us with lenses that offer unrivaled optical clarity and 100% UV A & B protection. These are not just any lenses—they are the same quality trusted to capture the sharpest images in space and on the silver screen. We will never compromise on these standards, nor will we outsource our work to cheap labor markets or downgrade the premium materials that define ENIGMA.

We’re particularly excited about our much-anticipated 18-carat gold line, which has experienced delays due to production challenges. But rest assured, our commitment to producing products that stand the test of time remains unwavering. We would rather take the time to perfect every detail than rush the process.
